SIXTY girls from Avonbourne School joined millions of students from across the globe learning the same things at the same time.
As part of the World’s Biggest Lesson, a global record attempt, the girls learnt about the importance of access to education. Millions of youngsters, politicians and campaigners across the world took part in the same lesson at the same time. The event was organised by the Campaign for Education, which is calling for the right of every child on the planet to attend school. Geography teacher at Avonbourne, Jenny Goad, said: “The campaign struck a chord with us and the girls were very keen to take part."
