As a Business and Enterprise College we are able to offer excellent facilities which are continually being upgraded and developed to allow us to provide the best learning opportunities for our students. We see a clear link between the use of technology and raising standards and at Avonbourne we work to ensure that your daughter is fully prepared for the technological society in which she will live and work.

We have seven ICT suites fully equipped with the latest computers and full Internet access. The majority of our teaching rooms have interactive whiteboards to allow a full range of learning materials and resources to be used. In addition we use wireless laptop computers in a number of areas to provide flexible learning opportunities in the classroom and beyond. Additional ICT facilities are available in our Learning Resources Centre and in our Learning Support facility. Students benefit from an open access policy which allows use of the technology before and after the school day in addition to break and lunchtime.

Teaching rooms are arranged in subject areas and include eight Science labs, a suite of rooms for the Arts, and purpose built Dance and Drama studios. Music provision is also very good with teaching rooms and practice areas fully equipped with instruments and the latest technology. Our extensive playing fields, tennis courts, gymnasium and sports hall ensure that sports enthusiasts are well catered for.

A full school meals service in our recently refurbished dining area offers healthy eating choices to all our students from breakfast club at 7.45am until 1.35pm
