What is the new building?
It will enable new & exciting courses to be taught
The Creative Technology Suite (CTS) is a new building due to be completed in the autumn 2008 and will be an exciting addition to our facilities. The suite will enable us to provide new and exciting courses for our students and the wider community using the latest cutting edge technology. 
We are continually sourcing new ways to enhance our students’ learning through our Business and Enterprise status and this is a great opportunity for us as a School. We will be one of the few schools in the country to offer this kind of facility to its students and the wider community; putting our students at the forefront of the ever evolving world of IT, Business and Technology.
What will it be?
A Virtual Reality (VR) suite - this has a massive screen that can display 3D images and film with surround sound, to create a truly interactive learning experience. The VR suite will also have computers available for classes to use. Imagine exploring the human heart from the inside, or travelling though the timeline of a Shakespearean play, meeting characters on the way!
3D programmes allow you to explore & interact in a unique way
A conference room - with state of the art video conferencing facilities.
An additional working area for groups with a set of high specification wireless laptops.
A motion capture suit - that will allow dance and PE students to analyse types of movement and technique.
The facilities will be available to use from September and will be a book-able resource for members and groups within the community.
